Theft of Blue Badges Warning

Good afternoon residents, 

We are currently having an ongoing issue of theft from motor vehicles within South Tottenham Ward. There have been a series of incidents that appear to be targeting vehicles with blue badges displayed on the dashboard. The MO seem to be similar; as in most cases the car is broken into, and the blue badge has been stolen from the vehicle. 

The current areas that seem to be targeted the most are Gladesmore Road, and Tynemouth Road. Criminals target blue badge vehicles so they can sell the badge onto buyers who do not require one, so they have an easier and cheaper time parking.

Your local officers will continue patrols with an emphasis on combatting vehicle crime.
